The countdown has begun to Expo 2020 Dubai, with hundreds of thousands of marketing messages flooding out to interested parties across the world.

The introductory video gives the message "500 days to Expo 2020," illustrating new structures going up and new technologies coming into the Emirate.

Entire countries are taking pavilions at the Expo, including New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Australia, Poland, Oman, Finland, Brazil and many others, 16 in total.

It reports five Dubai mega-projects under construction at this moment, Maydan One, Dubai Creek Harbour, Blue Water Island with its 210m high giant observation wheel, Dubai Harbour’s new artificial island and lighthouse and Marsa Al Arab and Wild Wadi new location plus Marine Park and live outdoor shows. All will feature during Expo 2020.

Expo 2020 will run for six months from October 20 2020 to April 10 2021 and is expected to attract 25m visits with 70 per cent coming from outside of the UAE.
