There are new rules affecting amusement and gaming machine operations in the England – although how they impact arcades is not yet clear.

The UK Government has announced that hospitality businesses must ask customers for their details to help the Track and Trace system to find anyone with whom they may have been in contact if they are found to have coronavirus.
The definition of hospitality business is not completely clear, but although it is not yet known if it applies to arcades, it certainly will apply to pubs – venues for many coin-operated machines.
The new rule comes in on September 18. It is further complicated by the ‘Rule of Six’, that demands that while more than six people may enter a premises, no one single group within it should comprise of more than six people.
