The DEAL trade show in Dubai last week is reported to have been very successful. One of the almost inevitable outcomes is that there are whispers of a rival show next year.
The suggestion, apparently, is for an exhibition covering the FEC business to be held in Oman, the state adjoining the UAE which is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination.
No further details are available yet, although InterGame is making inquiries. It is not the first time that the DEAL show has faced a challenge. A few years ago there were proposals to run a rival show in Abu Dhabi, which did not come to fruition.
