Coin shortages an issue for US arcades

Operators in the US are being advised by the AMOA trade association to hold on to stocks of coins in face of a national shortage that is emerging.

The US Federal Reserve Bank has issued a notice on the issue that has arisen in many areas and notably regions that have recently reopened to normal trading.

The bank has stated that the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the supply chain and normal circulation patters for coins.
