Clip ’n Climb has had a busy start to 2024, preparing for the opening of two new venues, as well as featuring on one of the most popular new shows on TV.

Gladiators

Nineties TV favourite Gladiators has returned to screens in the UK this year and eagle-eyed viewers may have recognised one of the show’s challenges.

Clip ’n Climb has manufactured “The Wall” for the show, a climbing wall which pits contestants against gladiators in a race against time. It is an all-new design, with production designer Patrick Doherty and the team working to create two bespoke 10m walls for the production.

The project was led by commercial manager Danny Hodgson, who said: “Being the creators and market leaders in the fun climbing industry, it was a pleasure for Clip ‘n Climb to share their expertise with the show team. The Wall truly embodies the essence of fun and thrill – which is exactly what our brand represents. It was great to watch the episode at the weekend and see the walls live on TV.”

Elsewhere, two new sites are due to open in the UK, located in Halifax and Wandsworth.

Clip ’n Climb Halifax will include 19 challenges and 23 climbing lines. Speaking on the venue, operator Paul Ioannou said: “When the opportunity to bring Clip ‘n Climb to Halifax arose, we knew it was the perfect addition to our offering.

"It’s a great family-friendly activity that can be experienced by all abilities, from young starters to experienced climbers. It has a positive impact on fitness and mental health and most importantly, it’s a lot of fun.”

The new Wandsworth venue meanwhile will offer the UK’s capital 27 different climbing challenges. Also on offer for guests is a café and dedicated party rooms.
