Clacton Pier in the UK opened for Easter and the upcoming summer season with the recruitment of 30 more staff to operate rides, the arcade, shops and the Discovery Bay soft play unit.
They were trained up and went into action just in time for the Easter break and now the pier company is seeking still more recruits. Eventually, said operations manager Ewelina Majewska, the pier will employ 200 people over the season.
She commented: “They were all keen and ready to get to work at Easter when we expected plenty of footfall ovewr the weekend and the entire school holiday.
“For many, it is their first taste of employment, but those who stay with us will have the chance to move up within the structure.”
