Cirsa in Spain achieved a turnover of €1,220m during the current year and an operating profit of €157m, an increase of five per cent over the same period in 2008.

During the third quarter, Cirsa turned over €405m with an operating profit of €55m representing an increase of three per cent over the same quarter last year.

These results are partly due to the installation in Madrid of 5,000 new machines following the Madrid new rules on gaming machines there which has allowed the installation of video machines in bars, meaning it controls 52 per cent of the total amount of gaming machines in the Spanish market.
