One of the largest family entertainment centre companies in the US offering pizza with arcade games, Chuck E Cheese’s, will aim to build its brand internationally in the coming years, director of corporate communications Michelle Chism said.

CEC Entertainment boasts a chain of 515 corporately owned and operated stores and 51 franchise restaurants. While the majority can be found in the US, the company is also present in eight foreign territories.

“What we’re looking for from a CEC branding standpoint,” Chism told InterGame, “is to make sure that the same experience that you have in the US can take place in Guam or Saudi Arabia, for example, and we have identified some really wonderful franchise partners to carry the brand in those areas.”

Further expansion of its franchise network overseas appears to be high on the agenda.

“I don’t think it is an overstatement to say that we will have a greater presence internationally in the coming years,” she added. In 2012, Chuck E Cheese’s stores sold around 14 million pizzas, while the company maintains an estate of approximately 38,000 token-operated amusement machines across its numerous locations.
