Champion Shuffleboard has purchased Connelly Billiards of Texas, US, which manufactures quality, custom, home billiard tables.
Despite decreased sales, industry-wide, Champion and partner firm Valley-Dynamo have succeeded in posting double digit sales increases for the past eight months and this purchase will round out Champion’s potential offering of custom products for home game rooms.
Kelye Stites, owner and president of Champion and Valley, said: "Connelly has a solid reputation for producing a quality, US-built product. We can now offer our customers a superior, furniture-grade billiard table and we will also gain the experience of Connelly’s craftsmanship and finishes to improve and expand all of our product lines.
"In addition to carrying on the Connelly name, Champion is exploring the possibility of offering a full line of Valley home tables to selected dealers. Valley has been the number one coin-operated pool table in North America for over 50 years."
Connelly’s product line includes 30 different billiard table models in six different sizes. When combined with the capability of Champion and Valley-Dynamo, the possibilities for a fully-customised, matching game room have expanded tremendously.
