While consumer VR may be slowing down, LBVR is proving to be the main area of growth for the sector.

One example of this is in Bournemouth on the southern English coast. Centre VR, a virtual reality arcade based in the BH2 leisure park in the town is planning to open a second venue after the success of its first.

The steady flow of visitors eager to experience VR has seen owner Colin Parnell plan to open a new, bigger venue which he claims will be the biggest in Europe.

The current location, offers six players the chance to play Tower Tag and four racing simulators.

Parnell is not only marketing his centre to gamers but to schools, leveraging the edutainment angle of the technology.

The new branch will open on February 1 in the Richmond Gardens Shopping Centre in the town.
