A petition has been started among arcade owners in Colorado, US, complaining that casinos have been permitted to reopen but not arcades.

The petition, available for signing by both operators and their players, will be presented to Governor Jared Polis.
Casinos were permitted to reopen in mid-June, but not arcades and even video games and other coin-op equipment in bars and other locations have had to be turned off, reports RePlay.
The petition was started by operator Clint Nieman, who said: “Arcades have been heavily impacted by Covid-19 and many will be forced to close permanently if they are not allowed to open and let customers play their games again.”
One signatory in the petition wrote: “Massive casinos with hundreds of games and lousy sanitation have been open for months but smaller locally-owned arcade bars with a handful of cabinet and plenty of sanitation equipment ready to go have been closed for nearly seven moths? Allow these places to reopen."
