Exhibiting at the World of Entertainment show in Prague last week, Cashpoint revealed its hopes to conquer the UK market.
Tasilo Tanzer from the company told InterGame that it is currently trialling sports betting terminals in Manchester and Newcastle in the UK, and that he believes the UK represents the biggest opportunity of all the European countries.
However, Tanzer explained that it will probably take Cashpoint one to two years to become well-known in the UK. "The challenge we have is getting people to understand what we do and realise that we’re not an ATM," he said.
Cashpoint’s new terminals look more like a gaming machine than a cash machine with a sleek and slimline cabinet. The terminal is also unique in that a cash dispenser pays out real money to the user rather than redeemable tickets.
