Coins vs tickets

TICKETS have become much more prevalent in the past year, with companies adopting ticket-in, ticket-out technology on a much wider scale as they seek to streamline operations and free up capital.

If this trend continues, it could well be that the majority of arcades and large gaming halls will be predominantly cashless environments relatively soon. Is this a good thing for the industry? Will customers ever truly abandon the desire to play with, and be paid with, hard currency?
