The latest venue to incorporate the Semnox Parafait system is Planet Lazer Kelowna, in British Columbia, Canada.

The location had been in operation for over 25 years without any kind of debit card and management system, but now owner Jenna Boyo is very happy to be giving up tokens and paper tickets.

The location has a mix of laser tag, games, redemption, party rooms and F&B. It is the premier FEC in Okanagan with over 6,000sq.ft on two levels, one of which is taken up with the Exreme Lazer Tag, permitting a maximum of 38 players for each session.

“The decision to go cashless was an on-going internal debate for over two years,” said Boyo. "We looked at several companies but eventually chose Semnox as the best for us. We like the tap-to-play readers, the flexible software and the all-in-one Komplete Kiosk that saved space and gave a self-serve option for players.

“Our guests were quick to adapt from tokens and tickets to cards with RFID technology and the Parafait Beam Readers and installation was made during the pandemic lockdown.”
