A bowling alley in the town of Arnprior, Ontario, which dates back to the 1930s, has been restored.

The owners of the Steelheads and Strikes bowling alley aim to maintain the 1930s art-deco aesthetic, while renovating the venue to make it more accessible.

Steelheads and Strikes is the oldest, continually operating bowling alley in Canada, with the original lanes dating back to the 1930s.

The project will be featured in a new renovation-based TV series.

Old lanes have been sanded over and reinvented into bar counters, tables and other decoration props.

The lower levels of the alley have also been renovated, with an area created for axe throwing and a lounge.
