Public playgrounds in England should be given a reopening date, following the example in Scotland, says the Association of Play Industries.
The organisation quoted a new paper providing statistical evidence and expert opinion relating to the impact of Covid-19 on children’s health.
The API has written to the Prime Minister asking that playgrounds are included in the road-map taking the country out of the lockdown.
Chairman Mark Hardy said: “The study commissioned by the Play Safety Forum and supported by the Children’s Play Policy Forum, supports our campaign to bring playgrounds back into use to alleviate the impact of lockdown on children.”
