Disneyland in California will remain closed for the moment, with the state’s authorities refusing to give in to local demands for reopening.

The state said this week that it envisaged reopening of major theme parks “months” in the future, which drew outrage from the parks industry that has forecast the loss of thousands of jobs.
Mark Ghaly, California’s heath secretary, said that any theme park with a capacity of over 15,000 must wait before reopening until the local area’s Covid- 19 risk fall to the lowest level in the state four-tier system. That means that daily cases become less than one in 100,000.
Other parks hit by the bleak outlook include Knott’s Berry Farm, Legoland and Universal Studios.
