The Shinin Group, a distributor involved in the Russian market for the last 20 years, presented one of its newest products at this week’s RAAPA show.

Bugs War Bugs War

Bug’s War, which is manufactured by Chinese company Game Plus, is brand new to the Russian market and sees up to six players all try to catch butterflies and beetles using the simple contols.

According to the company’s director of sales, Andrey Shinin, this product has been tested in Shinin’s own arcade and has received a positive reaction so far. It is yet to go into the market but is expected to be priced at US$1 per play.

Commenting on the state of the market in Russia, Shinin told InterGame: “We are still in a post-crisis time and this has seen the market change. Before, there were lots of opportunities and we are only just starting to get back to normal; I don’t think anything is going to change overnight.

“Our market and its success all depend on the disposable income available to our players, but this is not to say things will never get back to where they were; it will just take time. Even as we see some of the more established operators now close their doors, this presents brand new opportunities for others in the market.”
