World Bowling has joined the United Nations’ Sports for Climate Action Framework. The move continues WB’s policy of working to improve bowling’s image as an environmentally friendly sport.

The move was enthusiastically endorsed by QubicaAMF CEO Emanuele Govoni, who said: “We are happy to support this. Some of our latest products, such as the EDGE String Pinspotter technology, deliver an economically and environmentally friendly impact through being more energy efficient.”
World Bowling has been recognised by the International Paralympics Committee. The first Parabowling Championship in partnership with QubicaAMF will be held in March of next year.
The new Sports for Climate Action initiative calls for sports organisations to acknowledge the contribution of the sports sector to climate change. Signing the Framework brings more than 100 organisations, including the International Olympic Committee, together.
