BANDAI NAMCO Amusement Europe, distribution partner for A.I. Solve, a location-based virtual reality company, has installed its first unit in Hollywood Bowl in Bolton, UK, with the game Mayan Adventure.

A.I. Solve’s We Play VR attraction comprises of a glass-walled maze. The player wears a VR mask and backpack and is free to move around the unit.

Mayan Adventure sees the player search for a lost golden monkey statue hidden within a mysterious Mayan ruin. A virtual flaming torch is carried by the player and the mission has to be completed before the flame burns out.

BNAE are very excited to be working alongside one of the major players in the VR industry within the UK. A.I. Solve believe in the same approach as us with regards to VR, which is that it will be a major player in the gaming industry in the next year or so,” said Matthew Bradley, VR project manager at BNAE.

“We are also pleased to be working alongside Hollywood Bowl and Tenpin who are both very much behind the introduction of VR within their sites. The first We Play VR unit within HWB Bolton is in very high demand with players,” he added.

The next A.I. Solve location to open will be in the Hollywood Bowl in Dudley, UK, later his month.
