There is still no news of when family entertainment centres in California can reopen at 100 per cent capacity, reports US trade magazine RePlay.

California

It quotes the state Governor Gavin Newsom saying: “We don’t believe that there is a green light that says go back to the way things were or back to the pre-pandemic mindset.”

The magazine reports that the governor has launched a "Blueprint for a Safer Economy" containing four stages for the reopening of many businesses, including FECs and other entertainment venues.

In stages one and two, FECs would only be able to operate outside and with modifications and attractions such as go-karts, mini-golf and batting cages would be able to open but with social distancing and other safety protocols. In the "moderate" stage three, locations such as bowling and climbing walls would have a 25 per cent capacity, rising to 50 per cent under stage four along with arcade games and indoor playgrounds.
