FECs and arcades on the Belgian coast reopened on July 1 after three-and-a-half months in lockdown.
Nico Fernandez, who has the huge Sportland location on the sea front at Blankenberghe, told InterGame: “We opened for business with all the necessary measures to protect our employees and guests. It is too early to measure how the players are reacting to the new situation.
“I don’t think that it will be ‘business as usual’ for any of us on the coast, but that is the same for everyone in the industry globally. We have to hope that there won’t be a second wave of the pandemic or that a drug is found very soon to counter the virus.”
