Arcade brewery Pixeled, in Fargo, North Dakota, US, is back in action – with fresh ideas to help guests distanced from one-another.

The state governor, Doug Burgum permitted bars to reopen on May 1 under his ND Smart Restart programme.

Pixeled – a bar with arcade – has positioned bottles of hand sanitisers on the bar and has shifted seats so that there is a distance of two metres between them. It is also banning guests from congregating at the bar.

Every other machine has been turned off to ensure that players do not come to close to each other. That means that half of the location’s 60 machines are no longer operational and while it may work with 50 per cent capacity, Pixeled is limiting itself to 25 per cent which translates into around 50 customers at a time. The venue’s air circulation system now has ultra-violet lighting to help to clean it.

The location opened only two years ago. When it closed compulsorily in March, Pixeled appealed to is regulars for help and over $2,600 was donated together with merchandise and gift cards. Together this helped to keep the business from closing altogether.
