Jan Waterhouse, a team leader for BANDAI NAMCO at Wellesbourne Warehouse, UK, challenged himself to complete a 135m zipline on Saturday (July 20) to raise money for the Myton Hospices.
The challenge took place over the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
“I have a very personal connection and love for the Myton Hospices, as the wonderful staff there have cared for my own family,” said Waterhouse. “This great charity needs over £9m donations a year, just to cover its running costs. It’s not funded by the government, so every penny makes a huge difference and allows the charity to carry on doing the wonderful work it does.”
Next year, he hopes to do a skydive for the charity and hopes to one day walk the Great Wall of China with his wife, who actually works at Myton Hospice, Coventry.
