A successful IAAPA Europe was enjoyed by BANDAI NAMCO Amusement Europe following the display of its latest line-up of games and prizes in Paris, France, last month.

“It was a really worthwhile show for us,” said James Anderson, commercial and sales director. “We received particular interest in Nerf Arcade, Super Bikes 3 - both Raw Thrills titles and Tomb Raider from Adrenaline Amusements, which we showed in a 65ins screen version. The team saw many international customers in Paris and we will take good business from it.”

Nerf Arcade is a high-energy, fast-paced game where players use oversized Nerf blasters to shoot as many targets as possible. Super Bikes 3 has been redesigned from the ground up and BNAE is struggling to keep up with demand within the EMEA region.

Visitors to the company’s stand were also treated to a wide range of Pac-Man products including World’s Largest Pac-Man and the multiplayer Pixel Bash.

There was a great deal of interest in BNAE’s VR offering, too, with the show seeing the debut of We Bare Bears: Food Truck Rush from AI Solve.  The multiplayer, free-roam VR game is based on the award-winning TV series We Bare Bears and is produced from the Cartoon Network VR Lab. It is the first third-party IP game for AiSolve.

“We Bare Bears was an especially big hit with the crowd with many exhibitors as well as visitors coming back on following days to play the game again,” said Matt Bradley VR project manager. “We’re anticipating a few more installs of the WePlayVR arena in locations around the UK and Europe in the coming months.” BNAE’s Prize Division showed the multi-coloured Scooby-Doo Range in Paris. “The Scooby Doo movie mix was a great success with many pre-orders,” reported EMEA sales manager Darrell Simmonds.

“We also received some good feedback about the Minecraft range as there is a new game in the pipeline. The Paddington range also drew attention, which itself will receive a boost soon due to a new TV series. The Pac-Man shiny range for the 40th anniversary received much better than expected pre-orders, along with comments on how great it is to see the favourite arcade licence with a new and improved look.”
