Building on the success of the inaugural events in 2017, this year was bigger and was generally considered a great success. The trade exhibition saw more exhibitors and the purpose of the event was to assist existing leisure operators or those looking to enter the market, to connect with key suppliers and experts already operating within the industry as well as providing network and educational opportunities via a seminar programme.

A BALPPA statement read: “We were pleased that so many business chose to exhibit at the event and that many reported a successful show during which they were able to showcase their products and services to this constantly evolving sector. The feedback from the many visitors in attendance was also extremely positive and we hope that in the weeks and months to come that we have helped to cement some strong relationships between suppliers and operators.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who supported the event by exhibiting and visiting as well as our speakers and the team at Drayton Manor Park.”

After the show and seminars, the BALPPA Excellence Awards celebrated excellence within the leisure industry, providing an opportunity for BALPPA members and non-members to nominate others or self nominate their business across seven categories of awards.

More than 200 people attended the evening event which featured a drinks reception, entertainment and the award presentations.

Over £1200 was raised for chosen charity Autism Puzzles.
