The project that will see a Boeing 747 jet as a sunken feature of a new underwater theme park in Bahrain, will open next month.

Understandably, it is being hailed as ‘the world’s largest underwater theme park’ and will cover an area of 100,000sq.m, opening after Eid Al-Fitr, say press reports, quoting the Bahrain minister of industry, commerce and tourism.

The sunken 747 will provide a diver’s paradise and the feature will be joined by a submerged replica of a Bahraini pearl merchant’s house, artificial coral reefs and other sculptures that are intended to help inspire further coral growth and provide a habitat for sea creatures.
