Spanish coin mechanisms manufacturer Azkoyen has again shown marked increases in performance as figures for its first quarter of 2016 were published by the Navarra-based group.

Turnover reached €32m, a 7.8 per cent increase over 2015 with only 17.1 per cent coming from the Spanish market.

Vending machine sales were up 21.5 per cent to €11.8m and electronic payment systems saw a turnover increase of 2.2 per cent to €8.7m and the technology and security systems were up 0.6 per cent to €11.6m. The company also produces money-handling devices for gaming machines.

The net operating profit of the group increased 70.5 per cent to €2.9m and its debt was reduced by 51 cent or €12.4m.
