Axe throwing is becoming a popular new addition to amusement and entertainment attractions.

The latest indoor axe throwing complex to open in a UK FEC is that at Plymouth, in England, where The Timber Vault has opened. It has five axe throwing lanes, two full-size escape rooms, two mini "quickfire" escape rooms, a games arcade and a café and will open at the end of this month.
A former bank building has been taken over by operator Lee Broad and turned into an FEC. He already has an escape rooms complex in the city, established inside what was once a Chinese food wholesaler’s premises.
Escape Plymouth opened in August and has three escape rooms that have proved very successful, motivating Lee to try another entertainment complex.
The axe throwing installation is by specialist company Game of Throwing, which has similar locations in other English cities, Hull, Newcastle and Chelmsford.
The axe throwing lanes number five and each will accommodate six players. The grand opening is planned for May 28.
