Business is initially slow but improving for Queensland's FECs, reports the NAMOA trade association.

President of the Queensland branch, Mark Schneider, writing in the association’s quarterly magazine The Collector, said: “Locations continue to reopen in many states. Most operators report business is slow but continues to grow quite rapidly with each passing week. Some sectors are almost back to normal with a few showing actual improvement.”

Schneider urges his members to publicise the safety plans as much as possible - one local operator had spoken on a local radio station.

“This is a great strategy, especially if you are in a tourist location," said Schneider. "Many people will be holidaying this Christmas in their own state and while tourism is still suffering from the loss of overseas visitors, there will be a big increase in domestic holidaymakers, so make sure that you are well prepared and that you promote your business wherever you can - awareness is everything.”
