Attractions and amusement venues in Europe face further challenges as new lockdown measures come into force in several countries.
The lockdown across Europe has spread to Austria and Portugal, both of which announced new measures to control the spread of Covid-19 over the weekend.
In Austria there will be a curfew from 8pm to 6am with cafes and restaurants open only for take-away food. In Portugal now 70 per cent of the country is locked down and the population is required to stay at home except for work, school or essential movement.
Fresh restrictions were also announced in France on Friday while in England there is a four-week lockdown starting later this week.
Elsewhere in Europe everyone over the age of ten years in Slovakia will have to be tested, Hungary’s population must wear masks anywhere outdoors, while Greece’s restaurants and entertainment attractions closed in the big cities. Belgium is back to a national lockdown.
