A blast from the past…..Atari's Pong is back.
ASI in Dubai is now distributing the iconic game that was the birth of the video game in 1972. The Atari name has survived, but has been largely dormant except for the small-time development of some home and mobile games, but a coin-op game is now back.
A sit-down cocktail cabinet-style game was shown as a prototype at the last IAAPA show and ASI is now taking deliveries of the production line model. The new version is an electronic physical version where the players still hit a puck from one side of the game to another – like a soccer table – in a high-speed competition.
