Hardly a day goes by without another retro arcade bar opening at the moment and enjoying similar buoyancy is the domestic market for machines originally designed for commercial locations.
Aracde1Up has been making 3/4 scale replica versions of classic arcade titles since 2018 and now two of the biggest ‘80s hits are making their way to the UK.
Officlally licensed versions of BANDAI NAMCO's Pac-Man and Galaga will be available this month courtesy of US toy company, Tastemakers and UK distributor, Sambro.
The vision of Tastemakers, Arcade1Up started off as a passion project for CEO Scott Bachrach and his team. Since inception, the machines have met with critical acclaim, winning the prestigious Tech Toy of the Year award at the New York Toy Fair.
The machines come with original artwork and authentic controls and each version offers multiple titles of original-code versions of the games.
Priced at £349, Pac-Man features the original game and Pac-Man Plus while the Galaga cabinet also comes with Galaxian.
Other available titles include Asteroids, Rampage, Space Invaders and Street Fighter II.
