November’s IAAPA Attractions Expo proved a major success for photo booth specialist Apple Industries, CEO Allen Weisberg claimed.

Among the new products on display on Apple’s booth at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, US, were a new version of Pix Place, the company’s kiosk-style photo vender, and a New Face Place booth with a theme based on a licence form one of the top two American sports leagues and all the teams in that league.

Apple also showcased upgraded image quality in the 4x6ins photo strips vended by all Face Place photo booths. Recent reprogramming of onboard software and more RAM for faster processing power has resulted in an increase of up to 500 per cent more digital information per image for a sharper, cleaner photo.

“Reaction from operators and distributors was unprecedented,” said Weisberg. “The normal pattern is two days of visiting all the booths for comparison shopping, followed by orders on days three and four.

“This time many customers made a beeline for our booth and placed their orders on the first day of the show. Some customers made purchases on the first morning of the first day. Sales continued strongly throughout the expo.”

Apple is now heading into one of its strongest sales seasons of the year, he added. “We thank the industry for its continued support as we close out a truly phenomenal year.”

Apple Industries will be exhibiting on the Brent/Namco booth at EAG International in London next month.
