The developer of the seemingly universally popular Angry Birds franchise, Rovio, is to defend its intellectual property against those that have copied or applied it to other forms of entertainment, such as video games and attractions.
Following the recent news that a Chinese theme park had created an attraction based on the Angry Birds characters, Rovio is understood to have raised over $40m towards developing its operations further. Some of this money is to be set aside to target counterfeiters.
