Crossgates Mall at Colonie, New York state, US, is to close its Lucky Strike Social entertainment venue that contains a tenpin bowling installation with concert venue and bar with grill. It opened in 2016.
It will be replaced by Apex Entertainment, a Massachusetts-based company that will open a 50,000sq.ft entertainment centre in October. Sixty-five Lucky Strike employees have been laid off. The Apex centre will probably follow the pattern of three others in the chain, with bumper cards, laser tag, arcade games and bowling.
