It will be all about the "gaming experience" on the Merkur Gaming stand at ICE this year, said Sakis Isaakidis, chief executive international, in a conversation with media representatives last week.

“We want to take our customers and visitors on a journey into the Merkur gaming experience,” he said. “We will present our companies and our products in a whole new way - one in which visitors can relax, enjoy themselves and see our experience with fresh eyes.”
Isaaakidis, who is also Gauselmann Group’s head of international product management, said that the ICE display would be “more than just a simple presentation platform for our products.” He said that it would also give customers the ability to “interact with Merkur Gaming at first hand and be participants in our gaming experience.”
The ICE booth will provide the facility to contrast and compare the best of the themed game series. Games dominated by fruit symbols will be together while others with a mystical historical theme will be in another section. Then there will be a collection containing Asian-dominated themes.
The housing for these games, in Merkurstar, Evostar and Avantgarde cabinets, will see the latter appear in its Trio Edition with a third screen. The new G-Box will also be unveiled, a space-saving multigame cabinet aimed at pubs and other high street locations. A curved screen cabinet will be previewed following its first appearance at the group’s 60th anniversary celebrations last autumn.
