The AlcoSense WM1 is a coin-operated breath alcohol tester from AlcoSense, launched at the EAG Expo on the RLMS stand.

Easy to maintain with good profit potential for either owner-operators, chains, vending machine placement companies or hire or leasing businesses, it warns the user not to drive from 1/3 of the limit upwards, actively discouraging drink driving. It shows the user their actual reading, allowing them to build an understanding of the effects of alcohol on their body.

The AlcoSense WM1 uses an advanced platinum electrochemical sensor, which provides breath sample linearity and longer calibration intervals, as well as accuracy levels equal to roadside breath alcohol testers used in law enforcement.

Costing the user £1 per use, the AlcoSense takes on average £35 per week per 1,000 footfall in a venue. Assuming a venue had 3,000 people through a week it would break even at week five without an advertising screen and week six with the screen.
