Port St Lucie, Florida, north of Miami, is to have a new adventure park with ropes courses, BMX trails, zip lines and other attractions.
A Zoom meeting of local residents last week approved of a 39-acre site in the 200,000 population city. Now the plans are expanding to include an outdoor rock climbing wall, ninja course, wave pool, playground and picnic areas.
Design company Stantec is putting the plans together for the new location and asked the residents to rank their most appealing pursuits, with the climbing wall heading the list followed by the wave pool and ropes course.
A budget of $1.7m is being raised by the city to finance the plans.
