The recent opening of Al Othaim’s Xtreme Zone FEC in the Abu Dhabi Mall, UAE, saw the unveiling of a centre packed with adventure equipment and activities, many provided by Canadian equipment designer and manufacturer iPlayCo.
The venue has 30,000sq.ft of entertainment over two levels. The ground floor has an active climb, soft play and trampoline area. Othaim’s aim was to provide a facility that offered low-stress and high-energy, fun activities.
Climb Assault is an interactive climbing zone that features a climbing wall, plank walk, knotted rope traverse, boulder bar grab and cone traverse. Using a start and stop button feature, guests can test themselves by seeing how fast they can climb. A large trampoline area has features including pyramid and triangle obstacles, soft parkour, air bag, aeroball, dodge-ball and electronic dodge attack targets. The active climb area boasts a host of interactivity such as funwall aliens, Blobs of Doom and cannonballs.
