The interactive gaming chain, Activate, has opened a new location in Detroit, Michigan, US.

On October 10, Activate Utica held a soft opening from friends and family before its official opening at the weekend. Located at 45330 Utica Park Boulevard, the new centre offers nine rooms that allow players to jump, climb and problem-solve in interactive game rooms, all with different challenges for all abilities.
Each dynamic game room has interactive technology that reacts to the players in real time. They are also themed with different Activate games, such as Laser, Control and the famous Mega Grid. Customers start by selecting their favourite room, and they can either stay in that game or try out all of the rooms.
Other games blending digital and physical activities include Hoops, Strike, Portals, Press and Hide. The rooms are suitable for anyone over the age of six, and there are 10 difficulty levels ranging from easy to extreme. Difficulty levels range from one to 10, and players unlock them as they beat them.
