Sport has the ability to bring people together. Indeed, it is one of the only things that we sit down to watch on television at a specific time any more. Everything else can be recorded or streamed over the internet any old time. While the same is true of sport, any steadfast fan will tell you that a sport needs to be watched live and that is where sport finds its strength - in the camaraderie it inspires. Of course, sport has become immersive in the online age too and esports as a format has exploded, though for this feature we’re concentrating solely on physical sports games.
