The results for the 52 weeks to December 31, 2017 comfortably met the objectives set out at the time of its initial public offering in April last year.

The year saw the continued progress of its acquisition strategy with three new sites taken on in the towns of Blackburn, Eastbourne and Rochdale. Six more centres enjoyed a refurbishment and some underwent “tenpinisation” - a programme aimed at bringing sites up to the firms preferred standard.

In terms of numbers, reported total sales went up by 5.5 per cent to £71m and EBITDA rose 14 per cent to £19m.

Ten is the second largest ten-pin bowling operator in the UK, with 42 sites all trading under the Tenpin brand.

In addition to approximately 1,000 bowling lanes across its estate, it also offers a broad selection of entertainment including amusement machines, table tennis, soft play, laser games and pool tables, alongside restaurants and bars.
