Sega Amusements Europe has signed an agreement with UK-based manufacturer Intermatic to distribute its Cotton Candy vending machine throughout Europe, the Middle East, Russia, South Africa and the US.

Speaking exclusively to InterGame, Sega’s Justin Burke said of the deal: "We have been in discussions with Intermatic for the last couple of months regarding its Cotton Candy machine. We see real potential in the product and having done research into its performance in the industry so far, feel we can really give the product that push it needs internationally.

"This is the only product of its kind in the industry and David Hawthorne of Intermatic has done a great job with it so far. At Sega, we can give the product the push it deserves at an international level, quickly and easily, using our strong existing distribution network and franchisees. We aim to give this new venture big exposure quickly and are already seeing orders coming in from interested operators."

The Cotton Candy vending machine will be on Sega’s IAAPA stand this month, as well as making an appearance at January’s EAG International Expo and the amusement giant will now work to push the product further into traditional coin-op amusement venues.
