Austrian gaming giant Novomatic is experiencing continued success in the Italian VLT market, installing its 10,000th machine during the ENADA Rome last week.
Considered one of the major players in that sector of the market, Novomatic told InterGame that while the show was smaller in size this year it had experienced a very busy second day and it had seen all the key people in the industry attending the show.
For the Comma 6A side of the business, Novomatic introduced a new cabinet for Italy, which is smaller in size and aimed at the pubs and bars. For Novomatic the introduction of VLTs has not had the negative effect on the market that everyone thought it would, telling InterGame: "Both games are able to work side by side in a location just fine. The Italians were afraid there would be a cannibalisation of the market but this has not happened so far."
