The latest Raw Thrills title has been spotted in US FEC chain Dave and Buster’s.
Marvel is one of the hottest current licences around, but has been conspicuous by its absence in the amusement industry of late with just Apple Industries’ Marvel Adventure Lab photo booth providing solace for Marvel fans.
However, the MCU game drought appears to be over with this latest release. With the cabinet art heavily featuring Captain Marvel, InterGame assumes that it is being tied into the March 8 release of the movie of the same title.
It looks like a similar game to Raw Thrill’s previous Injustice Arcade which of course utilised a DC licence and a thread on social discussion website, Reddit confirms that it dispenses cards in the same way.
The original Marvel Contest of Champions was a released in 2014 as a 2D fighting game on mobile platforms IOS and Android and has amassed a significant following since then.
The game is strongly based on the events of the limited comic book series Contest of Champions.
Raw Thrills’ new offering is likely to be a Dave and Buster’s exclusive for a limited period, as Injustice Arcade and other games before it have been.
