The Wendover Nugget Hotel and Casino and the Red Garter Hotel and Casino in Nevada are being sold to a newly-formed company representing a group of investors led by Eric Persson and Justin Beltram through their 888Gaming.
Wendover Resorts announced the deal this week. It will include the sale of Utah Trailways, a bus company that transports customers daily from nearby Salt Lake City to the casinos in Wendover.
Eric Persson is president and COO of Aruze Gaming America, the major slot machine producer. He said: "I intend to work closely with Aruze to bring their market leading technologies to the resorts. Everyone knows Aruze has great slot and electronic table products, RFID table game chips and the Omni-Table."
The Nugget has 489 hotel rooms and 1,057 gaming positions while the Red Garter has 183 rooms and 652 gaming positions. The two locations were acquired by Wendover in 2002 and 2010 respectively.
