Malaysian casino operator Genting is seeking reapproval from US authorities to build three towers for its long-delayed casino in Miami, Florida, after earlier approval expired.

Genting asked the Federal Aviation Administration to reapprove plans to build three 649ft towers. The FAA approved the towers in 2013, but that approval expired on January 10. Genting bought the $236m bayfront property in 2011.

The towers are not expected to be built any time soon. Art Miami, the city’s premier art fair, recently said it had struck a deal to set up its tent on the site for the next several years.
