Caesars Entertainment has announced three upcoming projects, including two in Dubai that will be the company’s first non-gaming resorts.

In the US state of California, Caesars will develop and manage a $168m Harrah’s casino near Sacramento for the Buena Vista Rancheria. The casino will have 950 slot machines and 20 table games.

In Dubai, Caesars has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Meraas Holdings to manage two luxury hotels and beach clubs at Meraas’ Bluewaters Island development.

Later this year, Caesars will begin managing Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai and Caesars Bluewaters Dubai, which combine to offer 479 five-star rooms.

“Through our collaboration with Meraas, we anticipate Bluewaters Island will evolve into the region’s top hospitality, dining and entertainment destination,” CFO Mark Frissora said.

The development will include 12 restaurants and bars. It represents Caesars’ growth strategy that includes an integrated resort in Incheon near Seoul in South Korea, the Buena Vista casino and a new convention centre in Las Vegas.
