In line with the New South Wales government’s reopening plan, The Star Sydney reopened today, October 11, to fully vaccinated staff and guests.

The property has been shut since June 25 and it has reopened with the following restrictions in place: capacity is limited to one person per 4sq.m indoors and one person per 2sq.m outdoors; mandatory mask-wearing; and patrons to be seated while eating or drinking indoors.

It is expected the seating requirement will be removed on the Monday following New South Wales clearing the 80 per cent double dose vaccination hurdle, which is likely to be either October 18 or 25. It is expected that from December 1, capacity will be increased to one person per 2sq.m and masks will only be mandatory for front-of-house hospitality workers.
